Our tiny tots had a wonderful and educational outdoor visit to a supermarket. This experience likely provided them with valuable real-world knowledge and practical skills related to shopping, grocery items and different processes involved in producing everyday products. The children learned about the various sections of a supermarket such as the produce section (fruits and vegetables), dairy section, bakery section and more. They also observed how items are scanned at the checkout counter and how the total cost is calculated. Overall, this outdoor visit have been a hands-on and engaging way for the preschoolers to learn about various aspects of everyday life, including food, shopping and basic processes involved in food production. Such experiences can help children connect classroom learning to the real world and lay the foundation for practical skills they will use as they grow up.
